Frequently asked questions
What is the cancellation policy for events?
If you need to cancel your registration, please contact us at jean@pristinelavender.com as soon as possible. Cancellations made in advance may be eligible for a refund or transfer to a future event. We reserve the right to cancel events due to severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, in which case registered attendees will be notified and offered a full refund or rescheduling option.
Are restroom facilities available at events?
Yes! A porta-potty is available on-site at all Pristine Lavender events for your convenience.
What refreshments are available at events?
We provide complimentary bottled water for all attendees. Our signature Lavender Lemonade is also available for purchase, with free refills included — a perfect way to enjoy the farm experience!
How do I register for a workshop at Pristine Lavender?
You can register for our workshops directly through our website at pristinelavender.com. Simply browse the upcoming events, select the workshop you're interested in, and complete the registration form. Payment is required at the time of registration to secure your spot.
What should I wear or bring to a lavender workshop?
We recommend wearing comfortable, casual clothing that you don't mind getting a little dirty — you'll be working with lavender and natural materials! Closed-toe shoes are suggested. All workshop supplies and materials are provided, so just bring yourself and your creativity!
Are workshops held outdoors or indoors?
Most of our workshops take place outdoors on the farm to let you enjoy the beauty of the lavender fields. In the case of inclement weather, the event may need to be rescheduled or canceled. We recommend checking your email before the event for any weather-related updates.
How many people can attend a workshop?
Our workshops are intentionally kept small to ensure a personal, hands-on experience. Group sizes are limited, so we encourage you to register early to secure your spot. Check the individual event listing for specific capacity details.
Are workshops suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! All of our workshops are designed to be beginner-friendly. No prior experience is needed — our instructors will guide you through every step. Whether it's a crafting session, watercolor painting, or lavender harvesting, everyone is welcome!
What amenities and products are available at workshops?
We want you to be comfortable and enjoy your time at Pristine Lavender! Here's what you can expect at our workshops: 🚻 Restroom Facilities: A porta-potty is available on-site for your convenience. 💧 Complimentary Water: We provide complimentary bottled water for all attendees. 🍋 Lavender Lemonade: Our signature Lavender Lemonade is available for purchase, with free refills included — a perfect farm experience treat! 🛍️ Lavender Products: A selection of our handmade lavender products will be available for purchase on-site, so you can take a little piece of the farm home with you!
Can children attend?
The classes are geared to teens and up, depending on the ability of your teen to enjoy a 2-hour class. There is no childcare provided at any classes. Teens need to attend with an adult. This is a fun activity for teens who are interested and a parent.
What should I wear?
We will be outside under an open-air tent, so dress for the outside temperature. We might get messy. Wear something you don't mind getting some paint on if you are on the wild side.
Are the classes wheelchair accessible?
We are doing the class in the lavender field under a tent, so the ground is not level. Contact Jean if you are wondering if this would work for you.
What can I expect at the class?
A wonderful, relaxing time! We will have complimentary water and a lavender lemonade available to purchase. Michele will instruct you step by step how to complete the projects in a way that is understandable. Even beginners will succeed! You'll learn some basic watercolor techniques, plus she will share some secrets to make your artwork sing! Actual class time takes about 2 hours. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before class because we will start painting at the class time. By the end of the class, you'll leave with your works of art! Jean will have lavender products available for purchase, so bring your cash or credit card…you're going to love what is available. https://www.pristinelavender.com/shop Michele is also an author and will make her books available for a discounted price of $10 each/cash only. To see her Mackinac Island stories, simply google Michele Olson books or visit LakeGirlPublishing.com. She will be happy to sign your books.
What is included in the cost of the class?
Everything you need to complete the projects — brushes, paper, paints, etc., plus instruction you will enjoy. (You don't take supplies home with you, but you do take home your three masterpieces!) You'll also learn about lavender from host Jean Jarosinski.
What about cancellation?
The cancellation policy WILL be strictly enforced. Please view this just as you would if you pre-purchased a seat for a movie or concert. That seat is reserved for you. We understand sickness and other things come up. If the classes need to be cancelled due to weather: We will cancel if the weather is not conducive to being outside. This includes hard rain or extreme heat. Your ticket will be refunded, or if class openings exist, you will be alerted to upcoming classes you can join. What if you need to cancel? Your options: (1) You may transfer your ticket to someone else. Email jean@pristinelavender.com to notify who you are transferring it to. (2) Notify us by email at least 48 hours prior to the event that you cannot attend, and you will be allowed to transfer the ticket. We will strictly enforce the 48-hour rule. This is not an option for less than 48 hours' notice. Late or no notification will result in forfeiting your ticket. Why? With the limited number of openings and classes, we want to fill the seats. You are booking a seat for an event, and we are saving that seat for you!
